Liposuction for Austin Areas (Including Round Rock, Georgetown, and Beyond)
Liposuction is a popular cosmetic surgical procedure that can help you achieve a slimmer, fitter appearance by removing unsightly fat deposits from your body that have not responded to diet and exercise. Typical treatment areas include the thighs, belly, buttocks, hips, chest, breast, back of the arms, and chin. Dr. Davis offers liposuction at his Austin practice for patients in Round Rock, Georgetown, and surrounding areas. Schedule a liposuction consultation with Dr. Davis to find out whether you are a good candidate for this body contouring procedure.• Liposuction Procedure

Liposuction Procedure
The liposuction procedure can be performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. Dr. Davis will make a tiny incision in the area to be treated. He then inserts a thin metal tube (cannula), which is used to break up and remove excess fat. Patients are typically able to resume their normal activities within about two weeks, and you should be prepared to be away from work for one to two weeks after surgery. A pressure garment may be worn to control swelling and bleeding after liposuction.
Liposuction Results
You should know that liposuction does not necessarily produce instant results. The procedure can result in swelling that may detract from immediate visible improvement. Once the body is done healing, however, you should notice a definite reduction in fatty deposits in the treatment area. Full healing can take several weeks or months depending on the extent of treatment you select.
Weight gain over time can slowly reverse the results of liposuction, possibly leading to the need for further treatment later in life. However, if you maintain a healthy weight, the improvements you receive from liposuction can be permanent.
