What Is Jeuveau™?
Jeuveau™ is a wrinkle-reducing injectable created from a processed form of botulinum toxin type A. While it falls within the same family as treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport®, its specific protein makeup is unique. Touted by some as the next generation of BOTOX® Cosmetic, Jeuveau™ has the distinction of being the first “aesthetic-only” neurotoxin approved exclusively for cosmetic purposes by the FDA, and it has proven to be particularly effective for minimizing deep, severe brow lines.

Using a very fine needle, the Jeuveau™ solution is injected into the targeted area(s). For your comfort, a topical numbing agent can be applied in advance. The entire procedure typically takes less than 30 minutes, and patients are often able to resume normal activities immediately afterwards. That said, Dr. Holzman recommends that patients refrain from engaging in strenuous activities or laying down for at least four to six hours after treatment to avoid dispersing the injectable solution.
How Long Do Jeuveau™ Results Last?
Results typically become fully apparent about two weeks after treatment, and they typically last between three and four months for most patients. Touch-up injections can be administered once the smoothing effects start to fade.
